Bonnie Host's practice focuses on business and legal ethics. Ms. Host offers legal services to business organizations and executives in the area of Corporate Impact Law and Benefit Corporation Law, including Benefit Corporation qualification, formation, conversion, recertification, annual reporting, and general advice. She also offers legal research and writing services to assist clients in making sound, ethical policy decisions, as well as confidential internal investigations aimed at resolving risk in a manner that will ultimately strengthen the sustainability of the organization. Ms. Host offers similar services for law firms with an emphasis on legal ethics and law firm risk, a practice area in which she has nearly a decade of experience.

Prior to founding Host Law Firm PLLC, Ms. Host's career spanned over 25 years of work for nationally and internationally preeminent law firms and companies. Based on this experience, she brings to her current clients the benefits of a combined understanding of sophisticated legal practice and real-world business operations. As a seasoned litigator, she has more than a decade of intense, highly complex commercial litigation experience and has conducted numerous internal investigations, as well as training seminars for clients on a variety of risk avoidance topics. The substantive legal issues she has addressed in litigation include, without limitation, employment discrimination, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, common law fraud, securities fraud, and intellectual property.

Notably, in her role as Conflicts Attorney and Senior Conflicts Attorney for a large, international law firm, Ms. Host practiced in the complex arena of legal and business conflicts of interest, risk, and ethics as pertains to law firms. During her tenure, the firm grew from its origin as a mid-sized domestic firm, to the largest international firm in the world. In her role as Conflicts Attorney, Ms. Host saw the firm through more than ten combinations, working closely with the domestic and international risk teams to create effective risk policy and a strong compliance environment at the firm.
